George.W.Bush is not the most respected president in the world but this seems justified, as he is not even the most respected president in the US. But even then, he is not expected to speak the way he does. The latest from his mindless sense of world affairs is his accusation on India and China, the two countries which according to him are responsible for increasing food prices the world over. But the point in question according to me, is not the infamous statement he made i wonder if there are people who expect him to come up with sensible statements. The point is that, with his unpopularity on an all time high, why is Mr.Bush striving so hard to emerge as a villain. I tell you, Mr.Bush you are already one.

His knowledge of world affairs is amazing so is his decision making ability. So he searched for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, when there existed none. His blatant support to Mr. Musharaff in his so called Anti terrorism tirade paid him little dividends. The result of his strategies is for all to see. While his personal fight against Saddam Husain in Iraq did little then to break the country into pieces. As to the support he meted out to Musharaff had few takers in the latter’s own country. The present scenario has Musharaff clutching on to power like his personal property as Pakistan is seen grappling with the worst ever political crisis in its history.

Now i have some news for Mr.Bush.In what has come as a blot on the credentials of his statement - The Global Food Market Report of the Food & Agricultural Organiation of the UN says that the increase in India and China’s food consumption rate has been dismal in the last one year as compared to America. In America the food consumption rate jumped from 27.76 Crore tons(2006-07) to 31.04 Crore tons(2007-08). In terms of percentage rate it translates to a substantial 11.81%. With these facts by your side Mr.Bush i think you will come up with a much accurate answer, the next time someone pops the question:Who you think is responsible for the global food crisis?

The USA is the world's largest waster of food. Americans consume and waste more energy than the rest of the world. They are the world's biggest polluters of environment. The average diet of an American is twice that of an Indian or a Chinese. So when Bush says that the food demands of the large Indian middle class, that exceeds the entire population of USA, is the cause behind food price rise, he is trying to hide the fact that the population of the USA consumes + wastes almost 3 times the amount of food consumed by Indians.

George Bush by saying what he said has made a complete ass of himself. Totally.

To Rudolf --

"Please leave our president alone. It is our job to make fun of him, not yours... That is why he is greatly misunderstood."

Are you Dubya's spin doctor? If you are please feel free to confess. We know no job is lowly. We won't laugh at you.

"If you want to proove him wrote order everyone in China and India to fast for 40 days and 40 nights and see if world food crisis will not come to an end."

Shocking intellect. You can't be serious, or are you?

Indian's may eat how much they want. No one has any right to say that Indian's have started eating more.

Now one fact to all those who are ignorant like Rudolf. China and India, upon whom Bush is blaming for the world food crisis, have the world's largest and second largest population. Combined population of China and India is over 2.5 billion. Despite this both the countries are major food grain producing countries and are self dependent on food. India is a major food grain exporter and so is China (though I am not sure of the facts and figures of Chinese food grain exports). India has had a bumper harvest of rice and wheat last year and this year too it is expected to be even better.

So did Bush mean that Indians must eat less to export more so that food crisis and the subsequent price rise come down like Rudolf suggested that we stop eating for 40 days and nights?

If Americans fast for a week, it will feed the whole of sub-Saharan Africa for at least 6 months.

I think Rudolf is right! After all, don’t we all have our home-bred local clowns to laugh at? I’m sure each nation has it’s own version of Bush (read: Idiot Politicos). In fact, India is the most blessed country in this regards. Then why should non-Americans invade the rights of Americans (like Rudolf) who feel blessed to have a clown for a President??

BECAUSE... its basic human tendency to go for the best in all their pursuits. For instance, I would prefer a Russian circus anytime over a cheap circus from my neighborhood ( No pun intended, Denis).

I’m sorry Rudolf, but Bush just happens to be the funniest clown alive. And in this free world, each person, irrespective of his nationality or class or creed, has a right to choose his own reason to laugh at.

Please don’t try to come in the way of this basic human right by claiming your sovereignty on Bush (read: clown, fool, idiot, funny... well, the list will just go on, so I better stop.)

OMG Rudolf,

I think I misunderstood you, or did I? For Democracy’s sake, just be clear with your loyalties. Your sudden detour to Karachi makes me think otherwise man; is it Bush or Mush? Anyway, I’m sure you have the knack to sell both of them dumbheads!

Shivangi,

Please leave our president alone. It is our job to make fun of him, not yours. If you want to proove him wrote order everyone in China and India to fast for 40 days and 40 nights and see if world food crisis will not come to an end. Bush is smart - though in an unconventional way. That is why he is greatly misunderstood.

Rudolf:

You must be an absolutely crazy guy to say something like,

Please leave our president alone. It is our job to make fun of him, not yours.

The President of United States may be elected by you, but the ramifications are worldwide. A mad president like Bush who has brought in untold misery to the world during his tenure deserves rebuke from all and sundry and everyone affected by his mad policies and buccaneering campaigns has the right to ridicule him.

People like you look like silly cartoon characters when they talk something like the way you have commented. If I am not mistaken, you have given up your Nigerian citizenship for an American one, right? If that is so doesn't giving up your Nigerian citizenship for an American one embarrass you seeing how America and Americans are loathed around the world? If not, then it is quite understandable where your emotions come from.

If you expect George Bush to talk based upon facts and findings you would be disappointed always. He talks about what Mr. God tells him in his dreams. He once claimed that God talks with him. Like Saddam's WMD, aliens stalking beautiful American girls, Indian gluttons triggering the current food crisis in the world etc.

Okay, I lied about the aliens and the American girls. :P

Americans outhog Asians 4 times to 1 and Africans 5 times to 1. There are more obese people in America than any other country. Nowadays, Americans are producing babies like rabbits (may be due to insecurity) and therefore they need more calories. George Bush can say whatever he wants to because he knows that the world does not take him seriously unless it is a threat of war.

Bushing is just trying hard to find some excuses to shield the embarrassment that in fact the Americans who have triggered the fuel prices has in effect triggered the food prices up. Consumption of food has nothing to do with the crisis.

Instead of blaming other countries George Bush must do something serious. The worst affected countries are of course in Africa. No one seems to care. United States AID programs are in shambles in many countries. Bush generally had been helpful and I kind of personally like him. He does what he thinks best and he is good when he acts even if some of his actions were wrong. At least he acts and he must act now as well. Producing bio-fuel is not the way out to resolve fuel prices and crisis. This will inevitably cut deep into food production for the sake of fuel production.

Come on, people, I was just being sarcastic. You have the right to attack Bush. Burn him on the stake for all I care. When I finally finds out who is your President (Just kidding. I know you have no president.) I will hand him over to our boys in Karachi

Shivangi, it is surprising that you title this, ”Get your facts right before its late,” when it is obvious you did not read or listen to the actual speech Bush gave.

Had you of you would have seen he did not blame India or China, but used India as an example of a prospering society.

If you wish, you can read the entire transcript here, Bush Discusses Economy. The question and answer that was twisted and taken out of context is just past midway through.

Bush leaves himself wide open to ridicule due to his poor speaking skills and has many faults. Blaming India isn’t one of them.
